About
Damien Smith Pfister studies the impact of networked media on rhetorical practice, public deliberation, and cultural formation. His current book project, Networked Rhetorics: Attention and Deliberation in the Early Blogosphere, explores how digitally networked communication technologies challenge traditional understandings of the quintessential rhetorical terms of invention, emotion, and expertise. Pfister is a Senior Research Associate for the Center for Intercultural New Media Research and a member of the NCA-Forum.
