Thesis Title: synthesis and catalytic activity of cerium oxide nanomaterials

"Barry" Chin Li Cheung

About

I am a third year chemistry graduate student. During the last three years of training, I have attained skills in synthesizing cerium oxide nanomaterials by different methods and their structural characterization by electron microscopy, x-ray photoemission spectroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy and Raman scattering microscopy. I have also performed tests regarding the evaluation of the oxidizing potential of the nanoceria catalysts and analyse the products of these reactions by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectroscopy (MS).I also have experience with mammalian cell and bacterial culture preparation and their bioanalysis.
